I don’t blame most gamers for being unfamiliar with the consistently excellent BIT.TRIP series on WiiWare. Nintendo does a poor job promoting their downloadable partners and the clumsy Wii interface makes generating word-of-mouth for WiiWare games a difficult proposition. But, readers, it’s essential that the next BIT.TRIP game from Gaijin Games, we all rally behind.

Here’s the gist of what’s in store for us, courtesy of Nintendo Life, with BIT.TRIP RUNNER: *drum roll* music rhythm platform game with an 8-bit audio and visual stylization.

Don’t be alarmed. That ooze coming from your ears is just a sign that your brain’s melting. That’s a natural response to the concept of BIT.TRIP RUNNER and no one could blame you for it.

There aren’t many details on BIT.TRIP RUNNER yet. It’s coming to WiiWare this spring and include more than 50 stages, many of which will include art you can contribute to. More soon, please!
