About a year ago, I reviewed a game that I truly love, Nat Geo Challenge! Wildlife. Now I have National Geographic Challenge!, which is essentially a sequel. This means that I have a new game with all new questions and puzzles to be addicted to!
As in the previous game, the graphics are just beautiful. I sat there and watched the pictures scroll across the screen just because they are so pretty. For quite a number of the questions, you will be shown a video and then asked to answer questions about...

Gary Oldman is a well-respected actor who has, for much of his career, been best known for playing the bad guy. In recent years he’s taken on a number of roles that placed him on the other side, most notably that of James Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Batman movies. He’s also assumed the role of “the good guy” in some videogames; while he’s reprised the role of Ignitus in Spyro more often, the best-selling of the games he’s appeared in are Treyarch’s...

A patent first filed by Microsoft in early 2007 (and approved on December 27, 2011) would seem to suggest that the yet-to-be-revealed successor for the Xbox 360 will have the ability to record video content. According to the patent, the DVR feature would run “alongside a television client component”, letting owners record media content on the system while playing games and even while the system is turned off. The recorded content wouldn’t be limited to television, but would allow...

I recently got the chance to check out Silent Hill: Downpour, the latest Silent Hill game, and found the experience agreeable. While I wasn’t playing the finished game, so far, Downpour’s preview build is looking pretty sweet, in a totally creepy and terrifying way, of course.
Here’s a taste of my preview:
"Gameplay wise, Downpour will be familiar to fans. The slow, Silent-Hill-pace is in place, with dread taking the place of action, brain-hurty puzzles providing challenge,...

2011 was a pretty good year for the Xbox 360. The system saw some tremendous sales, including the best week in its history this past Thanksgiving and some great sales for both cross-platform and first-party exclusives. However, as we move into 2012, there are some major issues on the horizon for Microsoft’s console. From a lack of exclusives to a problematic dashboard, there is a real need for a course change in the system’s strategy. Here are some things that the Xbox 360 needs to come...

Last Friday night, the UFC was set to make its official debut on the Xbox 360. To celebrate, Microsoft made UFC 141’s highly-anticipated heavyweight matchup between Brock Lesnar and Alastair Overeem free to the first 25,000 customers who signed up. As you can imagine, spots filled up pretty quickly and the tickets sold out. However, on the night of the fight, a great many issues rendered the fight unwatchable.
The Xbox LIVE UFC app was down for much of the night, and didn’t actually activate...

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II has been officially announced and is coming sometime in 2012, Sega revealed today.
In what will be a fairly lengthy wait for an episodic series (as long as we don’t use Half-Life as the benchmark), Episode II will be coming more than a year after release of Episode I in 2010. Today’s announcement mentions that the physics are being “completely reworked” in this new game, which is very welcome news for those who felt that particular problem...

The Internet was set ablaze yesterday as an email chain between a disgruntled customers, a PR rep doing customer service, and Penny Arcade’s Mike Krahulik was published on the webcomic’s website. In it, Ocean Marketing’s Paul Christoforo was seen bullying the customer and being of little help to someone who has waited nearly two months to get the product he paid for in full in early November. Christoforo has now been replaced as the...
