With the worldwide release of Mass Effect still ringing in the air, we sat down with Ray Muzyka of BioWare to pick his brain about the successful sci-fi franchise.
IGN: Mass Effect 2 has been exceptionally well received, and even though it’s only January, we’ve been hearing that it’s already a contender for game of the year. What’s that like for you to hear?
Ray Muzyka: Well, it’s very gratifying. The team worked really hard to make a great...

In the March 2010 issue of Game Informer (on stands this month), the first real details of L.A. Noire are revealed. Developed by Team Bondi (The Getaway), L.A. Noire is an open-world action-adventure game set in the City of Angels in 1947. Unlike previous Rockstar efforts, L.A. Noire exists in a real city, painstakingly recreated for historical accuracy. Don’t expect the “shoot everyone” mentality of a Grand Theft Auto title — this is something completely...

February 6, 2010 – Ive played a few of the Trauma Center games in the past and enjoyed them relatively well. So when I was told that the new game would change up a lot of the formula, I was curious to see exactly what developer and publisher Atlus meant by this. Earlier, I was given the opportunity to watch a playthrough of the Forensics portion of the game, a strong departure from the typical slice-and-dice gameplay of the series that focuses more on evidence collection and analysis than...

According to the chaps over at the Wall Street Journal, Sony Corp. has managed to narrow the loss it makes on every PlayStation 3 sold down to a measly $18 USD.
By comparison, the electronics manufacturer was previously making an estimated loss of $37 USD per unit back in December 2009. The company is now keeping its fingers crossed that it’ll turn a profit on the high-end machine in the year 2011.
Sony’s chief financial bigwig, Nobuyuki Oneda, commented: “We think we’ve...

The thing that struck me about the last UFC game was that it just didn’t move right. Don’t get me wrong, the game looked slick, sucked you into the fights, and had awesome moves, but something about the rigid transitions between positions and moves just seemed odd. There was that second of hesitation in the characters while animations played out.
THQ says that’s done with.
Moments ago, the company ran UFC Undisputed 2010 through its first public match...

Every year, just prior to the biggest night in sports and in television – as far as Americans are concerned – EA Sports hosts Madden Bowl. Wherever the Super Bowl goes, so too goes Madden Bowl. That means that Miami, Florida was the site of the madness this year and I was on-hand to soak in all of the sights, sounds and excitement of mingling with some of the NFL’s finest.
The setup is fairly straightforward when it comes to Madden Bowl, at least as...
