It looks like Dragon Quest X: Waking of the Five Tribes Online will be hitting Japan sooner than expected. As reported by Andriasang, Square Enix announced the Wii version of the game will be released on August 2. This new title marks the first MMORPG entry in the series. A Wii U version is set to follow, though no new information is available at present.

A new live action teaser video for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has appeared on the internet and teases… something for next week.

BioWare has revealed their next multiplayer weekend promotion for Mass Effect 3. Operation Exorcist will run from this Friday 4/27 at 6pm PST through Monday 4/30 at 5am PST for Xbox 360 and PC players.

The votes have been counted, and Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin “Megatron” Johnson has beaten Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton for the cover of Madden NFL 13. Fans had been voting via ESPN for weeks in tournament style competition, and in the end, Johnson’s 19.6 million votes beat out Newton’s 12.7 million.

Majesco has announced a new basketball game for Xbox 360 today that doesn’t have to worry about competing with the latest NBA 2K game, and not because it uses Kinect. NBA Baller Beats is a sort of hybrid rhythm/basketball training game that has you bouncing a real-life basketball in front of your television set. It sounds very gimmicky, and in this day and age there may not be much of a place for that sort of thing anymore.
Such a premise automatically limits the potential market for a game....

Konami today announced it will soon release patches for Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill HD Collection to correct frame rate and audio synch issues. Development teams are currently working on patches for both games—including auto-save issues in Downpour. We can expect a fix in the coming weeks.
