Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released for PlayStation 3 on August 27, Square Enix has announced.
The long-delayed MMO-RPG will set you back £7.69/€10.99 for a monthly subscription fee.
Pre-orders will net you early access to the realm of Eorzea, a Cait Sith Doll Minion and a Mog Cap. In addition, there will also be a Collector’s Edition available, which includes the following items:

Retail giant GameStop said in its post-earnings financial call this week that it expects next-generation machines from Sony and Microsoft to launch at a cheaper entry point than PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The company’s chief financial officer, Ro Lloyd, said that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will release at a “lower opening price than they did last cycle.”
PS3 was released in the U.S. in November 2006 and came in two flavours: 20GB and 60GB, which cost $499 and $599, respectively.

Amazon Germany has posted a listing for the as-yet unannounced Mirror’s Edge 2.
The original game was met with luke warm reviews from critics but struck a chord with some gamers, elevating the title to cult status. A sequel has been rumored for some time now, though nothing concrete has ever materialized.

Infinity Ward has offered clarification on its supposed new game engine Call of Duty: Ghosts, confirming it’s a significantly upgraded piece of tech rather than something built completely from scratch.

Electronic Arts CTO Rajat Teneja has suggested that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are ahead of today’s high-end PCs by a whole generation.
