One of the PlayStation Vita’s most promising features is the ability to buy games on the go, but new reports indicate that game downloads may actually be limited.
According to ASCII (via Andriasang), a representative from Sony Japan has confirmed that the Vita will initially be limited to 20MB for 3G downloads.
This limit is somewhat standard in 3G downloads, as Apple’s App Store is currently capped at the same amount. This means that full game downloads will likely only be possible via...

The 3DS Virtual Console is slowly but surely building its way up to a respectable selection of surefire hits, as now joining the top-tier ranks alongside Donkey Kong, Link’s Awakening DX and Gargoyle’s Quest is a wonderfully fun Mario platformer from 1992.
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is a good old hop-and-bop time with everyone’s favorite plumber. This time he’s just returned from afar to come home to his castle (Mario apparently owns a castle) and he finds that it’s...

It’s a bit of an uninspiring arrival for Crystal Caverns of Amon-Ra, since this a game that you’ve probably seen a few times before – back when it was called Zuma, or Magnetica. It’s the same design as each of those past puzzlers, as a string of multi-colored marbles slowly marches around a curving path on the screen and it’s up to you to eliminate them all before they reach a Game Over end goal.
You accomplish the elimination by shooting other marbles into the constantly-advancing...

Bugs’N’Balls is a two-dollar DSiWare design that stars cartoon insects playing dodgeball against each other.
The idea is that the little bugs are going one-on-one chucking balls back and forth across a large flat surface. Each bug starts out with five balls on his side of the table (or leaf, or whatever) and the winner is the one who gets all of the balls to end up on the opponent’s side.
You can try to toss the balls to the far left and right of your opponent so they’ll...

Fan film-makers, your dreams can come true. New Line cinema revealed today that it is developing a big screen Mortal Kombat movie to be made by Kevin Tancharoen, the guy who directed the Mortal Kombat: Legacy films, films that were born of a fan-film with no official affiliation with the original product.
The writer of the web series, Oren Uziel, will write the big-screen adaptation, but the movie will not serve as an extension of the game or digital series.

Nintendo’s campaign to bring Dragon Quest joy to American hearts leveled up last week with the release of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 for DS. While not quite up to the incredibly high standards of a main-line Dragon Quest adventure, Joker 2 is good fun, especially if you’re one of those people who takes perverse joy in capturing monsters and forcing them to fight one another to the death.
Joker fans will soon be able to add a special catch to their collection of combative critters:...

It’s not a half-bad week for downloadable titles on 3DS. A day after getting The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition (also available on DSiWare) for free, a new Mario title for Game Boy is now available for download.
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is the sequel to the already-released Super Mario Land and, like its predecessor, it’s quite a bit different than the Mario games you may be used to seeing on other platforms. It does at least begin to resemble the later...
