RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D is the story of a man who doesn’t have time for his son. Well, OK, that sounds a bit melodramatic – but it’s accurate, at least, as the game opens with an eager young teenager getting the brush-off from his old man. He dreams of being a thrill ride designer. A theme park architect. A rollercoaster tycoon, of course – and it seems like he’s set up well to realize those dreams, too, since his father happens to be employed in that very field.

The 3DS news just won’t stop this week. Towards the end of a console’s life you often see games that really push the hardware but rely on familiar ideas. Pandora’s Tower is quite the opposite: it’s a game full of technical foibles that nonetheless overcomes its visual weaknesses to offer something a little different. That’s not to say that it’s entirely new, of course. Its blend of combat and environmental puzzles and the elemental dungeons you explore bring the Zelda series to mind. And at other times it...

The 3DS eShop is simply on fire as of recent, and this week is no exception. The latest downloadable goody to come our way is Ketzal’s Corridors, a puzzle adventure good enough to finally justify pulling yourself away from Pushmo. Seriously.
The game is essentially third person, on-rails Tetris – and it’s as crazy/frenetic/cool as you’d imagine. Similar to the WiiWare title ThruSpace, Ketzal’s Corridors puts you in control of different-shaped blocks (each block is a...

The publisher isn’t attempting to hide this registry. A quick search shows that Nintendo of America controls the domain, and typing in the address will actually redirect to Nintendo’s...
