After a few years of waiting, it looks like North American gamers will finally be able to get their hands on the New Play Control! version of Pikmin 2. This Wii update of the original game adds motion support, and already came out in Japan, Europe and Australia in 2009.
Do your thing, little buddies!This news comes from the latest Nintendo Power, which confirms that New Play Control! Pikmin 2 will be hitting U.S. shelves by the end of the year. Not a bad way to pass the time until Pikmin 3 comes...

According to Nintendo Power magazine, Pikmin 2 is coming out for the Wii in North America… finally. You Pikmin 2 fans have been waiting for a long time — Pikmin 2 was originally announced for the Wii way back in 2009, and folks in Europe have been playing since then. So if you need a reason to blow the dust off your Wii, you’ll have it soon.
It’s not known if anything new is planned for the North American release of Pikmin 2, a game that was originally a GameCube title.

Crytek has said that it’s unlikely that its new first-person shooter Crysis 3 will make an appearance on Wii U.
Nintendo’s new console is expected to be out before Christmas 2012, with speculation pointing to a November release. Meanwhile, Crysis 3 is due for a release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in spring 2013.
When asked if the game would be coming to Wii U, Rasmus Hoejengaard, Crytek’s Director of Creative Development, said there was a “fat chance” of that...

The recent Nintendo Direct conference brought with it a handful of cool announcements, from an updated Pokedex 3D and Pokemon AR shooter to a Kirby 20th anniversary campaign to a new global 3DS firmware update. Probably the biggest news was when company president Satoru Iwata let loose some information about that mysterious 2D Mario game coming to 3DS this year.
Turns out this title is actually New Super Mario Bros. 2, a 3DS sequel to the original New Super Mario Bros. for DS. Little was revealed...

3DS StreetPass fans no doubt noticed the arrival of a new Puzzle Swap panel over the weekend. The new panel, pictured below, is for Mario Tennis Open.
Get StreetPassing, folks.This new panel came with a complimentary puzzle piece, as well as the announcement that Nintendo will now be distributing new panels via SpotPass (they previosuly only arrived via firmware updates).
