It’s been a couple months since the minds of PokeManiacs worldwide were blown with the announcement of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, the very first numbered sequel for the core Pokemon games. Today some juicy new details have finally emerged thanks to Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro.

Nintendo will not be exhibiting at this year’s Gamescom, according to a spokesperson for the company. Silja Gulicher, press officer for Nintendo Germany, said: “Although Gamescom is one of the most important fairs of the year for us, we’ve decided not to take part this year.”

The gaming industry has come down with a severe case of crossover fever as of late. First Street Fighter crossed Tekken on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, then Nintendo hopped on board by joining Pokemon and Japanese strategy series Nobunaga’s Ambition for the DS game Pokemon Conquest. If you’re anxious to get a head start on your Madden NFL 13 gameplay, EA Sports has you covered. April 26th at 7 p.m. Eastern, EA will host a livestream to coincide with the NFL Draft.
As the top players wed teams, the Madden team will create Madden Ultimate Team cards — the football franchise’s in-game card game — for 30 players. EA will also create six “Future Star” cards for the players they think will be big deals. These cards carry a 99 rating.
