The Silicon Sports crew have reminded us that their BarCraft gathering is meeting again tomorrow night at Melbourne’s The Exchange Hotel for another round of alcohol-fueled e-sports action. 38 Studios In Money Trouble With The State Of Rhode Island Over $1.125 Million Missed Loan Payment

Curt Schillings’ 38 Studios, developers of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, have reportedly bounced a check for $1.125 million to the state of Rhode Island. The money was meant to payoff the overdue part of a loan given to 38 from the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. Earlier in May, the company defaulted on the $75 million loan from RIEDC. 38 Studios head Curt Schilling being accosted by reporters following yesterday’s meeting with the Rhode Island EDC. Coming on the heels of yesterday’s circus-like meeting and press conference regarding the developing situation at 38 Studios, WPRI is reporting that the company is in the process of paying its overdue $1.125 million payment to the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, but is doing so at the expense of its own employees.
