On top of being able to chat with game director, Tom Chilton, we also had a chance get our hands-on the starting zone for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, and tracked our entire journey from one to ten for you. This is a preview that more outlines the experience as you get to that all important level 10 ding, but should hopefully give naysayers or old-school WoWers an idea of just how much the team have matured in terms of delivering compelling content from a starting out perspective. New heroes, an open city, and dialogue are just a few of the things coming to Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.       Keeping licensed Lego games fresh can be quite the challenge. For the upcoming Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, developer Traveller’s Tales needs to find a way to set it apart from other games in the genre. The game itself brandishes one of the new aspects to be featured in the game: the inclusion of additional DC comic superheroes, like The Flash. But...

Well the GDC madness is here once again and how better to inaugurate this year’s frantic festivities than with a trip back to high school? San Romero High School, that is: Alma Mater of the sexiest, most over-the-top zombie killer known to man, Juliet Starling. At a recent Warner Bros. Interactive media event held in downtown San Francisco, members of the press got their hands on Miss Starling (so to speak) and after spending some time with the chesty cheerleader, I’ve decided; the...

Jet Set Radio and the Power of Addition by Subtraction

This is the same game you played on the Dreamcast, with a few notable bonuses and omissions.       An HD release of Jet Set Radio is one of those things that erstwhile Dreamcast owners have had on their wish lists for years now, right above new button cell batteries for their VMUs and a signed photo of Yu Suzuki. In a few months, that wish will become reality, with Sega set to release a downloadable remake of this Rollerblade classic on the PC, Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation...

Battlefield 3 is going close quarters. Here’s how to adapt your game.       As you may have heard, DICE announced an upcoming trio of Battlefield 3 expansion packs during GDC last week. Each of these packs follows a distinct theme: Close Quarters offers intimate, indoor environments; Armored Kill promises vehicle warfare and Battlefield 3’s biggest maps yet; and End Game is all about detective work. No, seriously, DICE isn’t revealing anything about End...

On March 20, everyone’s favorite shooter is dropping a ton of new, awesome stuff, including new maps (Liberation, Piazza, Overwatch and Black Box) as well as two brand-new Spec Op modes. Kevin Kelly took an early look at the new content, and brought back these words: "The two new Spec Op modes are interesting because it’s the first time they have ever added anything new to Spec Ops through DLC, and the two Ops couldn’t...

Dishonored: Exclusive First Look Preview

Man-eating rats, prostitutes, and death by steaming. If only all stealth-action games were as exciting as Dishonored.   There’s often a correlation between the amount of fun you have in a game and the utter ridiculousness of its weapons. Saints Row: The Third has its dildo bat, BioShock has its swarm of bees, and Dishonored…well, Dishonored has rats. Lots and lots of terrifying, swarming, man-eating rats. There’s really no greater way to vanquish your enemies than to have...
