Echochrome II Comic-Con 2010 Hands-On Preview

If you thought that the PlayStation Move was only for punching your friends and neighbors in the face or racing as a delicious young Japanese woman in an office chair, think again. There’s a higher level of thought at work in Echochrome II, and it’s going to require a whole lot of thought on your part if you want to be good at it.

Turn on your "flashlight" by using the PlayStation Move wand, and shine a light on some very radical surrealist art, which you can manipulate into shapes to be traversed by your character, here represented as a tiny little shadow gentleman, forever walking toward a "goal." Each puzzle comes with its own clue, whether it be "find a hole" for your little man to drop through, or "find a tunnel" whch allows him to climb to the top of an otherwise impassible map.

Echocrome II feels like a whole lot more than the simple puzzler it appears to be. It will be interesting to see what the full-sized version is like, but, if this little bit was any indication, it might just blow your mind.
