Awesomenauts Exhibits Publishers’ Effect on Digital Distribution

Update: We’ve received word from Ronimo that both the XBLA and PSN releases of the game will go ahead as scheduled. There’s no word on how this may impact the plans for post-launch updates or if dtp holds the rights to a sequel if and when the time comes for that, but at least for now there won’t be any interruption in us getting our hands on the game this week. Original Story: Awesomenauts’ name has been mentioned a great deal as of late with its release scheduled for...

Xbox 360 Game News: Skyrim Goes Live-Action With Freddie Wong In Today’s Nugget From The Net

Posted by on Apr 27, 2012 | Leave a Comment

What could be better for a Friday morning Nugget than a new Freddie Wong short that nods to Skyrim? This live-action love letter basically plays like a slightly warped version of the actual game, only it’s set in the real world and features living people. As anyone who is familiar with Wong’s work knows, the quality of the production is what sets this one apart. There’s also not a single "arrow in the knee" joke, despite there being several opportunities to draw from...

Madden 13 Improvements Call Into Question the Franchise’s Current Model

EA Tiburon yesterday began to reveal some of what will be different about Madden NFL 13’s gameplay. The big focus of this year’s title is the passing game, which makes sense both because the NFL is becoming more pass-centric and because my team (the Jets) is increasingly reliant on the rushing game. The changes sound good in theory, though as someone who still plays last year’s game a few times every week, I can’t help but take issue with the post-release support Madden...

The Age of Peripheral-Based Games is Fading

Posted by on Apr 25, 2012 | Leave a Comment

Majesco has announced a new basketball game for Xbox 360 today that doesn’t have to worry about competing with the latest NBA 2K game, and not because it uses Kinect. NBA Baller Beats is a sort of hybrid rhythm/basketball training game that has you bouncing a real-life basketball in front of your television set.
