The first details about how Assassin’s Creed 3 will play on Wii U have been reported.
The latest issue of Nintendo Power (via NintenGen) describes how the Wii U’s touch screen controller will function as a link to the Animus, the futuristic piece of technology that provides series protagonist Desmond access to the memories of his ancestors. It will also serve as a map and a navigation tool, potentially allowing players to enjoy the game without an intrusive HUD.

Vigil Games has confirmed that Darksiders II will be a launch title for the Wii U.
Speaking in a recent interview, lead designer Hayden Dalton confirmed that Darksiders II will be available for purchase on “day one.” Dalton added that the Wii U version has been developed alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions, but will have unique controls to take advantage of the Wii U’s new controller.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two has been confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
According to producer Warren Spector, the game will feature voice acting for every character. More interestingly, it will be a musical.
“I’m such a geek about musicals,” Spector told The Associated Press. “I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it’s magic.”

Ubisoft Annecy has been revealed as the studio behind Assassin’s Creed III’s multiplayer component.
An update on designer Tim Browne’s Twitter and LinkedIn profiles notes that he is Lead Game Designer on Assassin’s Creed III multiplayer, specifically adding that he’ll be working with Ubisoft Annecy.
