Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition won’t be coming to Wii U, according to the games distributor Beamdog.
The game is currently being developed for PC, Mac and iPad by Overhaul Games, and is scheduled for a release this summer. But it won’t make its way to Nintendo’s new console due to Beamdog’s past experience working with Nintendo.

UPDATE 2 (4:00 P.M. PST): Nintendo has confirmed that both Pikmin and Mario will make appearances at E3 2012 on Wii U.
Nintendo released the following statement regarding Pikmin:
“In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing.”

The last console-based F-Zero game was released for the GameCube in August of 2003. (F-Zero GP Legend arrived on the GBA about a year later.) Nintendo will not be exhibiting at this year’s Gamescom, according to a spokesperson for the company. Silja Gulicher, press officer for Nintendo Germany, said: “Although Gamescom is one of the most important fairs of the year for us, we’ve decided not to take part this year.”

The gaming industry has come down with a severe case of crossover fever as of late. First Street Fighter crossed Tekken on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, then Nintendo hopped on board by joining Pokemon and Japanese strategy series Nobunaga’s Ambition for the DS game Pokemon Conquest. If you’re anxious to get a head start on your Madden NFL 13 gameplay, EA Sports has you covered. April 26th at 7 p.m. Eastern, EA will host a livestream to coincide with the NFL Draft.
