Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Impact is the first of the PSP-based Ultimate Ninja games to take the fighting into 3D space, and while it hits the mark in a lot of the right places, there isn’t really anything that makes Impact truly stand out.

Back in September during this year’s Tokyo Game Show, a new Suikoden game was revealed. RPG veterans will remember Suikoden well from its heyday on the PlayStation, and iterations in the franchise have been on the likes of PSP and PlayStation 2 ever since.
This new Suikoden game, known as Suikoden: Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki, is a PSP title, and according to Andriasang, it will come out in Japan on February 9th, 2012 (see for yourself at the game’s official site).

RPG fans know Japanese game developer Game Arts pretty well. This is the studio responsible for classic franchises like Lunar and Grandia, and more recently games such as Project Sylpheed for Xbox 360. This team even had its hands on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
And its first PlayStation Vita game, an RPG called Ragnarok Odyssey, has been given a release date in Japan.

The ad doesn’t say much, though according to Andriasang, the Japanese text towards the end of the ad says “The future of games will change.”

It’s a good week for retro revivals – hot on the heels of Codemasters’ announcement of a new Dizzy game comes this news that Putty Squad is being resurrected as a PlayStation Vita launch title.
The new game comes 20 years after the original release of Putty Squad on the Amiga in 1992. The original developer, System3, returns for this re-release, which sees the game get a much-needed graphical overhaul, some added secret levels and touch controls.

At the PlayStation Vita event in London today, Sony Computer Entertainment showed off a variety of playable software demonstrations as well as announced a few new titles and confirmed its European launch library. You may know Sony’s first party developer Zipper Interactive for its SOCOM series, as well as its massive online-only PS3 shooter MAG. And today, the studio revealed its newest shooter, Unit 13, which is exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.

Gravity Rush — known by the far cooler name Gravity Daze in Japan — is a much-anticipated PlayStation Vita title from the minds at SCE Japan Studio (best-known for the Team ICO group responsible for ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and the upcoming PS3-exclusive The Last Guardian). The IGN PlayStation Team has played the game a couple of times now, and our own Ryan Clements confirms that Gravity Daze is a great reason to own a Vita.

Sony is partnering with Vodafone across Europe and Australia for the launch of PS Vita in February 2012. The network carrier will be the preferred provider for 3G for the Vita in the UK, as well as Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand, and Vodafone’s partners in France. Note Vodafone is only Sony’s preferred partner though – you’ll be able to choose between network carriers when Vita launches.
