A Need for Speed movie is in the works. Dreamworks has acquired the movie rights to the franchise, and EA will produce along with John Gatins and Mark Sourian. Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is attached to direct, and the project will be fast-tracked at DreamWorks with a target production start date for early next year, for a 2014 release.

2K Sports today announced that basketball simulator NBA 2K13 will be available on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in North America and October 5, 2012 internationally. It’s coming out on many platforms, too: The 360, PS3, PSP, Wii and PC. A Wii U version is even planned for a later date.

Dragon’s Lair will be released on Xbox Live Arcade on May 18th, 2012. The classic game, originally released in 1983, once caused me to punch an arcade cabinet in frustration. The cabinet was not harmed. I was. (True story.) Digital Leisure’s latest release of Dragon’s Lair will have Kinect support.
