We thought we’d burnt out completely on the so-called “tycoon” style of game, until we saw Zombie Tycoon. It’s a neat twist. Being a tycoon over things like railroads and theme parks now looks pretty bland, compared to ruling over an army of brain-hungry, blood-thirsty undead. The best part of the game is, without a doubt, its curb appeal, those first impressions you get when booting it up the first few times. A top-down perspective rules most of the time, but you can draw...

Bloodlines offers a few good moments, but it fails to capture the joy of its console brethren.
The Good
It’s fun to pull off a bloody counterattack
Great sound effects.
The Bad
Platforming is awkward
The areas...

Just last week, I complained Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time wasn’t getting much publicity – at least when compared to other games. Cue at least ten commercials between then and now. I expect the same jump for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, a game that managed to sneak in under my radar and of most people I’ve talked to. Usually a stealthy release is a sure sign something has gone terribly, terribly wrong (see any Eddie Murphy movie released in the last 5 years...

If you aren’t signed up for kids’ games and like the design style of God of War or any other 3D platforming titles, you’ll be in familiar territory here. The major difference is...

The launch of the new Minis series on the PlayStation Network has come without a huge amount of fanfare, at least in terms of general media advertising. We expect to see new campaigns making their way to at least fan mags soon, but players can go right now to download bite-sized games like Mahjongg Artifacts: Chapter 2 to their PSP or PSPgo systems. “Chapter 2?” you may be saying… One thing about the Minis series is that it will allow Sony’s mobile gamers to finally tap into...
