According to PlayStation’s official blog, “… Journey has officially broken PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store sales records, surpassing all first and third-party games to become the fastest-selling game ever released in the SCEA region on the PlayStation Network.” Journey on Up at Noon This bit of heartening news was accompanied by news that the soundtrack, composed by Austin Wintory, will be released to the delight of Journey’s fans on the PlayStation Store...

Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono to ’be out of the limelight for a while’

Street Fighter legend Yoshinori Ono has revealed his intention to take a backseat on the franchise following a recent spell in hospital. Ono-san, who was taken ill following a lengthy promotional tour for Street Fighter x Tekken, confirmed plans to continue supporting the crossover brawler and thanked fans for their support. "I caused u so much worry for a while.I went back to work. SFteam’re working wholeheartedly on patches forSFxTK, plz wait just a little longer," he Tweeted.... 

Sony unveils 3 new PlayStation Home games

Sony has lifted the wraps off three new titles for PlayStation Home, the first of which is now available to download in the U.S. in the shape of Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove. Next up is No Man’s Land, a post-apocalyptic blast-‘em-up described as “arguably PlayStation Home’s most ambitious title yet,” which hits Sony’s online social networking space in the spring. Lastly, summer will see the release of Mercia, a fantasy-themed RPG multiplayer game....

PlayStation Vita RPG-strategy romp Little King Story hits Japanese retailers today, and to celebrate Konami has lifted the curtains on the official launch trailer for the game. Check it out below. Little King Story PS Vita takes place in a parallel world to the original outing on Wii, and makes extensive use of the portable’s touchscreen controls. Kelle Santiago quits Thatgamecompany

Thatgamecompany co-founder Kelle Santiago has confirmed her departure from the studio. The developer has recently wrapped on its three-game exclusivity deal with Sony, which saw the release of Flow, Flower and Journey. Santiago’s decision to leave the studio comes as the company is beginning work on its next project. PlayStation Portable sequel Yakuza: Black Panther 2 has muscled in on the Japanese software charts at number two, debuting behind 3DS juggernaut Kid Icarus: Uprising. The gangster-‘em-up shifted just north of 100,000 units, beating out fellow new releases Devil May Cry HD Collection on PlayStation 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3, which entered in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
