If you’re just now jumping on board the Max Payne train in anticipation of Rockstar’s take on the noir shooter, there are two things you need to know: 1) Max’s favorite pastime is ventilating gangsters via slow motion dual-wielding dives, and 2) just about everyone Max ever loved received a violent, untimely death. See just how bad things got for Max, and begin to understand why he moves his life to Brazil, in the first issue of the Max Payne 3 digital comic.

This will take me awhile to type out as I’m wringing my hands in anticipation. Gimmie a sec… Okay, hands fully wrung. After last week’s magazine cover story leak, THQ and Relic made it officially official-like this morning: Company of Heroes 2 is coming in 2013. The 2006 WWII RTS will finally get a full sequel early next year, putting players in command of Russia’s Red Army and taking the war to the frosty Eastern Front. Let your eyeballs enjoy the first screenshot below:

One of the more interesting facets in World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion Mists of Pandaria is Challenge Mode. In our latest WoW Factor, we take a look at Challenge Mode and what it means for players. Check it out and then leave your thoughts in the comments.
Instances by their own right are fun. They are a quick way to pass the time in an MMO and usually don’t take too long. Challenge Mode now comes in to give players an even faster reason to finish instances. I cannot really say...

There are moments where Sniper Elite V2 nails what (I assume) it feels like to be a badass sniper behind enemy lines in World War II. Like sitting in a church tower, picking off enemy soldiers one at a time, and masking rifle shots to coincide with bombs dropping in the distance, or landing a well-placed shot on an enemy tank’s fuel tank, sending it up in flames. But all of these moments take place in a fairly confined and linear battlefield as Sniper shuffles you from one spot to another throughout...

How are you? It’s a fine day. I’m feelin’ good. It’s a fine day for feelin’ good, and it’s probably due in part to the fact that Amazon is now peddling a Double Fine bundle. For a cool ten bucks, you’ll receive the excellent brainfaring adventure Psychonauts, with Stacking and Costume Quest as commendably quirky accompaniments.
These are all digital downloads for Windows, and will be recorded in your Amazon Games Library so that you can re-download them...

Cryptic's Neverwinter was the belle of the ball at the recently held PAX East convention last month. We caught up with Andy Velasquez, Lead Producer on Neverwinter to chat with him about the game. Check it out!
MMORPG: How much content are you aiming to have at launch? Will there be full progression through levels 1-60, or will you rely heavily on the Foundry and player created content to round it out?
Andy Velasquez: We are excited about what our creative users will be able to make with The...

A name has been confirmed for the next South Park game. “The Stick of Truth” is vaguely hilarious and slightly suggestive, as is the style of the television show’s creators. It’s been officially listed on the Xbox Live Marketplace, though the given release date of May 5th 2012 is probably wrong. Unless there’s something I haven’t been told about. Hey, you haven’t already got your grubby hands on it, have you?
As GameSpy reported last year, South Park: The...

With the upcoming arrival of "Salem", a lot of attention has been turned to what is doubtless the basis of Salem's plot: Haven & Hearth. Haven & Hearth is a survival MMO and we've been putting it through its paces. See how well it did in our latest review.
Under a deceptive guise of java-rendered graphics and a momentary computer generated piece of music, lies a hardcore 'game' that tests our basic survival skills and instinct. Haven & Hearth is social survival...

Does anyone else think of a literal, all-too-motivating foot to the behind when they hear the word “Kickstarter?” Probably a good thing that’s not what Kickstarter actually does, otherwise some of our favorite developers would be seriously sore. Anyway, Gabriel Knight creator Jane Jensen, representing her new studio Pinkerton Road, is the latest to have been delivered a metaphorical measure of motivation: adventure-thriller Moebius has reached its Kickstarter goal. Additionally,...
