The ear cups of the Y-250P are bigger than average – not necessarily larger cups, per se, but thicker. This extra thickness helps to increase the natural passive suppression of ambient sounds. Combined with the circular shape of the ear cups and the solid...

I was very wrong about THQ. Terribly wrong. No matter how many warning signs were there, no matter how much financial turmoil and public humiliation the company went through, I still believed that someone, somehow, would save them before they went under. I never believed that about Midway, Acclaim, or any of the other publishers that have found themselves suddenly, tragically defunct over the last decade or two, and I don’t necessarily have the clearest understanding of why I felt differently...

Wild week, huh?
I didn’t plan for back-to-back features on zombies, that’s the way it worked out. I also don’t usually publish an article separate from Worth Reading on a Friday in an effort to cleanly spread that material out. Thankfully, my ability to outsource a rough draft of my interview transcripts (I always double check ‘em) means I’m able to turn around features much faster than ever before, and this reflects that. I’ve already got a few that should be out the door next week.
“Eight...

We’ve long dreamed of a day when we could download freshly released movies to our TVs, and now, that day has arrived… but with a steep price! PRIMA Cinema gave us some hands-on time with their product, and it’s an amazing service for anyone who can’t make it to their local cineplex on opening weekend to see the latest, greatest releases. The cost? A cool $35,000 for the primary unit and remote fingerprint reader, plus an additional $500 per viewing, or $20K annually for an...
