Rockstar Confirms No Games for Windows Live for Max Payne 3

Given the bad press that Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live DRM system has been receiving of late, it’s almost odd that Rockstar didn’t confirm this earlier, but in response to a Twitter query (via PCGamer), the publisher very clearly stated “No, Max Payne 3 for PC will not use Games for Windows Live”. Rockstar’s most recent PC outing L.A. Noire did not use Games for Windows Live, but a recent screenshot that sported the GFWL logo had sparked some concern that...

Originally slated for a Q3 2012 launch, a post on the official Tomb Raider blog has confirmed that Crystal Dynamic’s upcoming reboot of the iconic franchise has been delayed until “the first quarter of 2013″. Given that we haven’t had any new media from the game since E3 2011, this announcement is not entirely surprising. Crystal Dynamics Studio Head Darrell Gallagher had this to say on the matter:We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game...

Game Review: Victorian Mysteries: The Yellow Room

Posted by on May 13, 2012 | Leave a Comment

Victorian Mysteries: The Yellow Room is a whodunit mystery taken from classic literature. In this case, the story is taken from Gaston Leroux’s novel “The Mystery of the Yellow Room” and the game goes through the twist-filled plot in the form of an adventure/hidden object game. In general, The Yellow Room looks good and it feels right for a story that takes place in the early 1900’s. Locations are colorful and the characters fit the part. In fact, the only place I found myself...

Torchlight II Preview

Of all the Diablo clones that have come and gone in the years between Blizzard’s flagship titles, none has been talked about quite as much as the Torchlight series. The developer, Runic Games, is made up of people that worked on games like Fate, Mythos, and yes, even the Diablo series itself way back in the day. The first Torchlight, which was a bit cartoony, single player-only, and at a budget price, did very well for itself, but it had some obvious limitations, the biggest of which...
