While Ubisoft Montreal’s open-world murder simulator Assassin’s Creed 2 won’t hit North American PCs until March 16, a patch has already been issued with changes including a tweaking of the controversial DRM scheme that requires players be online. Rather than being kicked back to the last checkpoint should their connection drop out–as was originally the case–players will be able to resume the game “from the exact same point” when they reconnect....

UK gamers have yet another option for second-hand software on the High Street – with Argos setting up its own pre-owned service. The news follows Asda and Tesco’s decision to do the same – bringing new competition to the likes of GAME, Gamestation and HMV. Itagaki’s new studio is Valhalla

Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden dude, Tomonobu Itagaki has joined upstart developer, Valhalla Game Studios as CTO. TT Games extends LEGO contract

Warner has extended its existing contract with Lego to make games based on the popular brick characters until 2016.
