EA and Activision will go head-to-head again when Respawn’s game is eventually revealed. It’s been a busy day for the legal system. Activision and Electronic Arts announced today the companies have settled their differences in the Infinity Ward lawsuit. “Activision and EA have agreed to put this matter behind them,” reads the brief joint statement from the companies. Activision And EA Settle Over Call of Duty Case

Update: Activision and Electronic Arts have settled their legal differences in this case, which means that EA will not be a part of the West and Zampella lawsuit. The West vs. Activision suit is not settled. When Activision terminated former Infinity Ward leadership Jason West and Vince Zampella on March 1, 2010, the publisher launched an internal investigation about them. UPDATE 2: Activision’s Dan Amrich clued me in to his latest One of Swords podcast, where he talks to Robomodo president Josh Tsui about numerous Tony Hawk HD things, including revert. Though Tsui stops short of outright guaranteeing the inclusion of revert, he says that they want to “stay true to the mechanics” of the original game, implying that the THPS3 levels may very well feature revert as a mechanic.
