When EA re-launched their digital download service as Origin as a direct competitor to the hugely successful Steam, it had a lot to live up to, and with the exception of consistently fast download speeds, it still arguably falls short in much of its functionality.

The co-creator of the Xbox, Seamus Blackley, has announced his plans to launch a mobile-games studio, Innovative Leisure. Aided by a team of famous designers from Atari, he hopes to change the industry with iPhone and iPad games. Blackley will bring everything you loved about the arcade to the iOS.
“We are looking at the new arcade, and 99 cents on the iPhone is the new quarter,” said Blackley in an interview with VentureBeat.

Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, showing off some gameplay action (or at least, in-engine action captured from cinematic camera angles) from the game’s singleplayer campaign.

It’s not good times over at THQ headquarters, which expected to spend today’s quarterly earnings all pumping its fists about the great sales of WWE 12 and Saints Row: The Third, and instead had to explain how uDraw turned into a monstrously bad bet for it.

Sony’s PlayStation Blog have confirmed that PlayStation 3 owners can expect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s DLC season to kick off on the 28th of February 2012 in the US (so Feb 29th for Aus), at which point subscribers of the Call of Duty: Elite service will have access to the first two new maps for the game Piazza and Liberation — yes, the same ones that Xbox 360 subscribers could access a week ago.

After a delay that seemed to be quite annoying to many PC gamers, the 1.2 patch for Rage has finally arrived.
