Sony details UK PlayStation Move pricing

Sony has lifted the lid on its UK pricing strategy for PlayStation Move, in addition to shedding more light on the Starter Pack that will be released alongside the new peripheral. The platform holder confirmed that punters can expect to pay £34.99 for the Motion Controller itself, while the Sub Controller will set you back £24.99. Worldwide PS3 sales stand at 38.1 million

Sony Corporation has announced that life-to-date sales figures for the PlayStation 3 now stand at 38.1 million units worldwide, putting the system approximately 3.6 million units behind global sales of Microsoft’s Xbox 360. The news comes following the release of Sony’s latest financial results, which reveals that the platform holder shifted 2.4 million PS3’s during its first quarter, resulting in a whopping 118 percent increase over the same period last year. Zipper explains SOCOM 4 delay to 2011

It looks like SOCOM 4 will not be available until 2011 and Zipper Interactive has posted a letter to fans on SOCOM’s official blog, explaining the delay. The company says it does not want to skimp in the development of the game, and instead wants to “deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game,” that the company can create. “While we’re certainly aware that you’ve been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don’t want to take any shortcuts,”...

The PlayStation 3 is the first console to get the latest version of the Netflix application. In addition, the PS3 is the only system to get a full title search feature. See Kratos in action against King Midas in Ghost of Sparta video

Sony has posted gameplay footage of God of War: Ghost of Sparta, showing Kratos in action. The video below is a great look at what we can expect from the new God of War game heading to the PlayStation Portable. The video shows Kratos slapping around King Midas, featuring rich terrain and some intense camera zooms during combat. If you haven’t seen the video yet, check it out below.
