This is the last week on Sony’s “Spring Fever” promotion on the PlayStation Network, but don’t worry, the folks at PlayStation plan to send you off with another week of decent content.
Last week we got Closure. Two weeks before that, we got the fastest selling PSN game ever. This week, we say goodbye to Spring Fever (for 2012) by saying hello to Wheels of Destruction and a glut of deals on everything Mortal Kombat.

Rumors on a follow-up to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow have cropped up again following a series of Twitter teases by Konami’s David Cox.

WRC 3 confirmed for October release

WRC 3 will be swerving into stores in October 2012 for PlayStation 3, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita, Milestone has announced.
The official video game companion to the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), the racer will feature an all-new game and visuals, and includes all rallies in the 2012 WRC calendar as well as leading teams and drivers.

Escape Plan prequel DLC announced

PlayStation Vita puzzler Escape Plan will receive a free batch of downloadable content on April 10, Sony has announced.
In addition to patching the game to 1.01, the update also adds Bakuki’s Lair, which supplements the main game with 19 prequel puzzle rooms and fleshes out the core narrative.
The DLC also implements a few balance changes pertaining to scoring and controls, and Sony says this will lay the foundation for future updates.

Rumor: PlayStation 4 coming before next Xbox

Sony is “confident” that the firm will have its next-generation console out the door before competitor Microsoft, claims a new report.
VG247 has heard from various sources that the successor to the PlayStation 3 will be out before Christmas 2013 – the rumored launch window for Xbox 720.
Furthermore, tech specs for the new hardware were apparently put in place two years ago.

Soul Calibur V developer talks cut story content

Soul Calibur V head Daishi Odashima has revealed that the weapons-based brawler’s ambitious story plans were trimmed due to lack of available time and man power.
Speaking with Train2Game, Odashima said that developer Project Soul could only cram in one quarter of what was originally planned in terms of story content.

Skyrim, Rage DLC news coming this month?

Bethesda has hinted strongly that announcements pertaining to DLC for both The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim and Rage will drop this month.
Writing on Twitter, marketing boss Pete Hines commented, "Some things coming down the road in April for all you Rage and Skyrim fans," saying fans can expect some "cool news and surprises.”
Bethesda has already confirmed that DLC is in the pipeline for critically acclaimed fantasy RPG Skryim, though little else has been said on the subject.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII song hitting Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy

Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy will receive fresh downloadable content in the form of a song from the still unreleased Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Square has announced.
The song in question is known as Somnus, and will be joined by Final Fantasy II’s ‘Magician’s Tower,’ Final Fantasy VI’s ‘Battle,’ and Final Fantasy IX’s ‘The Darkness of Eternity.’ The DLC is due out on April 4.
