Now if my memory serves me well, there were once reports that the Xbox 360 version of the first Darksiders suffered from screen-tearing, and framerate issues. Yet when we saw the game at a recent Darksiders II preview event in San Francisco, we couldn’t help but notice button callouts on-screen that would suggest that the game was running on an Xbox 360.

Modern Warfare 3 DLC hitting PS3, Premium Elite release date revealed

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be getting that much bigger as the first two downloadable maps will be hitting the PlayStation 3 first for Call of Duty Elite subscribers. Those who purchased an Elite subscription—our bought the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3—will be entitled to all incoming DLC for the game throughout the next nine months at the low price of free.

Electronic Arts has teased that we can expect details on upcoming Battlefield 3 downloadable content to drop as early as next week.

Sony posts substantial third quarter loss

Sony has confirmed it posted a 158 billion yen (approx. GBP 1.3 billion) net loss during its third quarter financial year ended December 31, 2011.
The figure comes as a strike contrast to the same period last year, when the hardware manufacture recorded a profit of 72.3 billion yen (GBP 559 million).

Rayman 3 HD dated

Ubisoft’s super-glued a March 21 release date to its upcoming high-definition revamp of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
Aside from a fresh coat of HD paint, the game will also run at 60 frames per second and feature enhanced audio.
Rayman 3 was originally released for GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC back in 2003. A critical success, the game packs 15-20 hours of playtime, and features heaps of unlockable content and standalone mini-games to tuck into.

No online pass for Syndicate, confirms EA

Syndicate will not utilize an online pass, publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed.
The upcoming shooter eschews traditional competitive multiplayer in favour of an extensive co-op mode, something which EA Partners’ Jeff Gamon says is the reason for excluding the pass system.
"We want as little resistance or barriers to entry as possible," Gamon told Eurogamer. "The co-op is equal billing in this. We wanted everyone who owns a copy of the game to have access to the entire product."

Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama have hinted that Final Fantasy XIII-2 may receive character specific DLC episodes.
That’s according to an interview with the pair posted in FFXIII-2’s Ultimania guide books, where the developers revealed their intention to release additional character ‘volumes’ in the FFXIII-2 saga.

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 have both surpassed the 10 million sales barrier.
DICE-developed military shooter Battlefield 3 released back in October 2011, and is still slugging it out with rival blaster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in the U.K. Charts.
