There are two important lessons to be learned from CorridorDigital’s new mash-up short (via Destructoid): mash-ups are sweet and Nintendo’s Mario continues to be the reigning king in all "who’s the best?" video game debates. Don’t agree? That’s fine. Just stand over there. Away from me. I don’t want to get any blood or entrails on me when a blue shells squashes you.

The U.S. release of Pikmin 2 for Nintendo’s Wii console is now set for June 10, 2012, a morning press release confirms. The much-loved GameCube classic received a 2009 Wii-make release in Japan, Europe, and Australia as part of the publisher’s New Play Control! series, but a U.S. version never materialized. Rumors of the Wii port coming to the U.S. first surfaced in April, and now we have confirmation straight from the source.

Steam Wallet Cash Cards Pop Up In GameStop Stores

You might not be able to find much in the way of boxed PC games at your local GameStop store, but now you CAN use them to feed your PC gaming habit thanks to newly available Steam Wallet voucher cards. There’s nothing available yet at GameStop.com, but tipster photos sent to both Kotaku and Polygon confirm that you’ll be able to buy $20 and $50 cards.

Blizzard DOTA Is Now "Blizzard All-Stars"

Say goodbye to "Blizzard DOTA," and say hello to "Blizzard All-Stars." Blizzard Entertainment and Valve today announced a mutual agreement regarding the name "DOTA." Valve will continue to use DOTA commercially, including DOTA 2, while Blizzard will preserve noncommercial use of DOTA for its community with regard to player-created maps for Warcraft 3 and StarCraft 2.

Aqua Blue Nintendo 3DS Will Be Discontinued

Nintendo Japan has revealed the aqua blue 3DS model will no longer be in production, effective really soon. Nintendo’s official Japanese site states, "Scheduled to end production shortly." A reason for the decisions was not given, but I can only assume it is the result of the battle of the blues. Blue is the Highlander of colors. There can be only one, and it would appear the newer, Cobalt Blue model may be dominating the blue market.

Microsoft announced that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has broken "all previous digital sales records." They say it sold more than any other title in its first 24 hours on Xbox LIVE Arcade. This is not a surprise.
