Independent game studio Aterdux Entertainment has announced its new project Legends of Eisenwald – a role playing game with elements of strategy and turn-based tactical battles. After two years of development, they now have an alpha version of the game. Following the example of many other independent studios, Aterdux Entertainment addressed their future players through Kickstarter.
Legends of Eisenwald can be described as a Knight Errant simulator; A hero with his squad travels on a global...

Ever since I was introduced to the Dynasty Warriors series, I was addicted. When I found out about Warriors Orochi, I was even more intrigued. While Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors follow (mostly) accurate historical data, Warriors Orochi combines the warriors from both of those series and creates a fictional universe. This leaves the game open to create whatever fun and exciting situations they want, as well as interesting interactions between powerful characters who would never have met in...

Don’t expect anything mind-blowing with Deadly 30, as this game looks like something from the 90’s. They are going for a retro look, however, as the game is a side-scrolling shooter a la Contra. You’ll begin the game in the Black Forest, then depending on whether you venture to the left or the right, you’ll work through the Corn Fields and Mountains or the Snow World and Castle. Nothing is super detailed, so expect a white background for the Snow World and a yellow corn looking...

Confrontation looks exactly like what it is: a video game translation of the 1996 miniatures wargame by French company Rackham. Like its tabletop predecessor, the game’s focus is on small groups of units fighting each other in a fantasy setting. There’s a heavy emphasis on these individual units, which are modeled after the actual Confrontation miniatures. The game even has a “Paint” mode which lets you customize the colors on individual units to give your army its own...

From the first moment that you load up Prototype 2, you will love the graphics. To start the game, the cutscenes are mostly black and white, and of course red. I absolutely adore the way the blood stands out on the otherwise black and white scenes. They really put some time into making sure the game feels more like a movie at times; but they also make sure that you never get bored waiting on a scene. Plus, you can skip the cutscenes, if you really want to.
I love the voicework as well but fair warning;...

The original Prototype put you in the role of an extraordinarily powerful mutant and stranded you in Manhattan in the middle of a viral outbreak and the resulting military occupation. It was a good game, but there were a few glaring flaws that kept it from reaching its true potential. Prototype 2 addresses enough of those flaws to establish itself as a superior sequel. It’s far from perfect, and it won’t win over anyone who didn’t like the original, but if you’re looking...
